Discovering your "Return on Investment”
In business return on investment or ROI measures how much of a return someone gets from a particular investment. A business person who invests $1,000 but only receives a $500 return has made a very costly decision. Business people who continue to make bad investment decisions go out of business! In education, psychology, and behavior analysis, behavior change agents (e.g., teachers, school psychologists) function not unlike a business person in regards to ROI. A behavior change agent invests in an intervention and determines how much of return occurs. Defining what constitutes an investment, or a behavioral intervention, and measuring its cost of implementation marks the first step in the ROI formula. The second step involves sensitively measuring the return. If you report to parents, fellow colleagues in an organization, or an insurance company, do not miss this webinar!
